Kar­rin Allyson will open a week of scin­til­lat­ing con­certs at The Sea­sons 2011 Fall Fes­ti­val in a gala con­cert on Sat­ur­day, Octo­ber 8. Kar­rin has appeared in Yakima before at The Sea­sons with her jazz band, and, in 2008, with the Yakima Sym­phony Orches­tra. She, and mem­bers of her band, includ­ing Jeff John­son, Todd Strait, Marc Seales, and War­ren Rand will be mem­bers of The Sea­sons Jazz Fac­ulty in res­i­dence this year.
We wel­come her back! One of the best jazz singers in the US and inter­na­tion­ally, Kar­rin has already gar­nered 3 Grammy nom­i­na­tions in her bud­ding career, and appears to be in the hunt for a Grammy again this year with her lat­est album “Round Mid­night.“

The Ker­mes Fiesta is a free fam­ily friendly event until 8PM. Come with the whole fam­ily and enjoy live enter­tain­ment, food, kids activ­i­ties, shop­ping, and free back to school sup­plies with a mex­i­can style car­ni­val atmos­phere. Some activ­i­ties include the Yakima Bears Bat­ting Cage and a US Army foot­ball toss. Plenty of free­bies are to be had as well. Bicy­cle hel­mets for kids, free back­packs for the new school year, and school sup­plies will all be offered for the youth.

Start­ing at 8PM The Sea­sons Per­for­mance Hall is bring­ing back Salsa In The Streets. We will have a live Salsa Band play­ing, a beer and wine gar­den to loosen the nerves, Salsa work­shops, and lessons for new­com­ers. Entry to this event is free until 8PM and only $10 after.
